TAKA TARGETS IMPROVEMENT AT MISANO22 October 2021 | Emilia Romagna GP PracticeTakaaki Nakagami endured a tough start to the Emilia Romagna GP as Friday’s free practice sessions were impacted by wet conditions. The MotoGP paddock have returned to Rimini for the second race of the season at Misano and the LCR Honda IDEMITSU rider struggled to find rhythm on a slippery circuit.
Rain in the morning meant FP1 took place in full wet conditions and Taka did not get much time out on the circuit, ending the session in 22nd place. Sunshine broke through in the afternoon to ensure there was a drying track for FP2, but Taka had to settle for 23rd position and will now be hoping for improved weather on Saturday.Takaaki Nakagami – 23rd (1’44.075)“They were tough sessions today, both FP1 and FP2. It was wet conditions and especially in FP2 it was quite tricky as in the last 10 minutes conditions were changing a lot and lap by lap the dry line was getting wider. But it was good for us to have two sessions in wet conditions because we can try to improve (in those conditions). It looks like it will be dry tomorrow and Sunday, so we’ll have to prepare well for dry sessions.”
